Location?

The Deerstone is located in the beautiful area of Glendalough. Glendalough is an incredibly historic, and luscious part of the Wicklow Mountains National Park and is renowned for being one of the crown jewels of Ireland's Ancient East. The Glendalough monastery was founded by St Kevin in the 6th century and went on to become became one of the great centres of learning in early Christian Ireland. For over 500 years, this area was at peace, as monks and lay people grew and lived and learnt together.

“Absolutely everything is available to you if you should want it, that said, you can engage in as much or as little as you want. This is your time, your retreat, so if you decide to sit on a tree stump and gaze at the trees and stars the whole time you’re there, then you’re more than welcome to do so. In fact, it’s absolutely essential that you spend your time however you wish in order to make sure you do go away feeling topped up and restored rather than socially depleted.”
